Our client needed to make renovations and wanted to reduce the energy costs of their building in order to be competitive in the commercial real estate market. Krome performed an HVAC re-engineering project. We changed the central ventilation system from constant volume to variable volume. We also installed a heat pump to provide air conditioning, but also to recover the internal heat of the building. We renovated it by significantly reducing the pressure losses in the air path. We replaced free cooling with mechanical cooling with heat recovery. We have greatly reduced the use of boilers.
